I have recently been working with a patient who has been on workers compensation, one of the great things about our modern OH&S practices is the need for on-site first aid officers with up to date first aid certificates. My patient potentially would be in a wheel chair if is wasn’t for the first response heroics of a workmate who new how to apply emergency work place first aid. By stabilising my patient, my patient has a shot at a full recovery. So if your workplace doesn’t have a qualified first aider go out and get one.
